Two Tone Breastplate

A breastplate earns its keep the moment the work gets serious. Over jumps, on hilly trails or anywhere a saddle wants to creep backwards, this one holds it where it should be. It doubles as a neck strap too, so there's something solid to grab if you lose your balance.

We make each one by hand from heavy USA BioThane and stitch it for strength. The two tone build lets you run a contrast colour behind the main strap, with your own stitching and keeper colours on top.

Breastplates come standard with stainless steel square buckles. If you'd like something different, there's a range of buckle styles to choose from in the options, so have a look at the photos and pick what suits. You can also add a snap clip or two if you want them.

Stops the saddle sliding back over jumps, on hills and during fast work. Handy for horses with big shoulders or a flat ribcage, and it gives you a neck strap to hold if you ever need one.

Beta BioThane® is a tough, PVC-coated webbing, and one of the best strapping materials around. It's stronger than nylon or leather and fully waterproof, so there's no oiling or conditioning to worry about. It stays soft and pliable but wipes clean in seconds.

Rinse it under warm water with a little mild soap and wipe it dry. There's no oiling or conditioning to do, and unlike leather it won't dry out or hold odours.
