Laced Cavesson Bridle - Custom BioThane

A classic cavesson bridle, hand-made to order from super-heavy BioThane and finished with a decorative laced browband. The cavesson noseband sits on its own headstall, so it's easy to fit and adjust independently of the bit, and the whole bridle is built to take a beating and keep going.

BioThane handles whatever you ride through. Sand, surf, sweat and rain run straight off it, so the same bridle that works at the track is just as at home on the beach or out on the trail. There's no oiling or conditioning to keep on top of, and it won't crack, stretch or hold odours the way leather can.

Built around your choices:

• Decorative laced browband with two lacing colours, so you can run a contrast plait that's yours alone.

• Main, backing, lining, keeper and stitching colours all chosen by you for a bridle that matches your gear or your colours.

• Stainless steel square buckles as standard, with a wide range of buckle options if you'd like something different.

• Optional nameplate to make it unmistakably yours.

Choose your browband and noseband width and your size at checkout, and add a comment if there's anything specific you'd like us to know.

You pick the main, backing, lining, keeper and stitching colours, plus two lacing colours for the browband. No two have to look the same, and the combination is yours.

The cavesson sits on a separate sliphead, so you can raise, lower and tighten the noseband independently of the bit for a precise, comfortable fit.

Beta BioThane® is a tough, PVC-coated webbing, and one of the best strapping materials around. It's stronger than nylon or leather and fully waterproof, so there's no oiling or conditioning to worry about. It stays soft and pliable but wipes clean in seconds.

Rinse it under warm water with a little mild soap and wipe it dry. There's no oiling or conditioning to do, and unlike leather it won't dry out or hold odours.
