Description
The Flag Hooded Horse Rug in Pink Trim is our lightest summer rug, made from open-weave flag cotton that lets air pour through on the hottest days. The permanently attached hood covers the face, ears and neck for sun and fly protection, with crisp two-tone pink binding throughout.
One of our own paddock favourites for peak-heat days. Sizes 4'6" to 6'6", with COB and FULL hood options.

When the heat really sets in, this is the rug we reach for. The Flag Hooded Horse Rug is made from open-weave flag cotton, the lightest and most breathable summer fabric we stock, so air moves freely through the weave and your horse stays cool while still being protected from sun, dust and flies.
The permanently attached hood is what sets this version apart from our Combo and standard Flag rugs. It covers the whole head, ears and neck with generous eye openings, giving sensitive areas proper sun and fly cover without anything sliding out of place. The white cloth is finished in bright two-tone pink binding from the hood right through to the tail flap.

Please note: flag cloth is wonderfully light and cool, but it is an open weave and not made for horses that are hard on their rugs or turned out in a rough-and-tumble paddock, where it can tear more easily. For us it earns its keep on the extra-hot days... right up until a paddock mate decides to help take it off.
Sizing: COB or FULL refers to the size of the hood, not the rug. For example, 6'0" COB means a 6 foot rug with a COB hood.
The attached hood wraps the face, ears and neck, putting protection exactly where sensitive skin and eyes need it most through summer.
Open-weave flag cotton is the lightest, most breathable rug we make, letting heat escape and air flow through on the most stifling days.
