Description

A single-layer slow feed hay net that stretches out how long your horse takes to finish a haynet, without the fiddle of a double-layer net. The diamond mesh slows each bite so hay lasts longer, mess stays down, and your horse keeps something to graze on between feeds.

Additional details

Horses are built to graze for most of the day, but a pile of hay on the stable floor often disappears in a couple of hours, then comes the boredom, the waste and the empty gut. This single-layer slow feed net spreads that same hay over a much longer stretch, so your horse trickle-feeds the way nature intended.

The diamond slow feed mesh means your horse takes smaller bites and works a little for each mouthful. That keeps hay in front of them for longer, which helps:

  • Settle the stomach – more chewing means more saliva, which buffers stomach acid and lowers the risk of ulcers and colic.

  • Beat boredom – a net that lasts gives stabled or float-bound horses something to do, cutting down on cribbing and pawing.

  • Save hay – the mesh keeps hay contained instead of trampled into the bedding or paddock.

It's the single-layer version, so it's quick and easy to stuff and slows feeding nicely for most horses, without the extra fuss of threading hay through a two-layer net. If your horse demolishes hay especially fast, our two-layer net slows things further.

Made from strong, lightweight polypropylene that stands up to daily use, with a drawstring top that pulls tight and ties off securely. At 40 inches it holds a generous feed for the stable, paddock, float or a day away.

The diamond mesh makes your horse take smaller bites, stretching a haynet out over hours instead of minutes so they trickle-feed closer to how they would at pasture.

As the single-layer net, it loads in seconds, less fiddly than a two-layer net while still slowing feeding well for most horses.

Hay stays in the net rather than trodden into bedding or the paddock, so you get more out of every bale and less to clean up.

Strong, lightweight polypropylene handles daily use in the stable, paddock or float, with a drawstring top that pulls tight and ties off securely.

A generous 40-inch net that holds plenty of hay for daily feeding or travel. Choose purple, pink or blue.
