It's made from braided 100% Australian-made polyester, chosen because polyester shrugs off the things that wreck a lead: it won't rot, mildew or stiffen up the way nylon does, it holds its size instead of stretching, and it keeps its colour in the sun. The result is a lead that stays soft in the hand but takes plenty of hard use.
