Mesh Hooded Horse Rug - Teal & Grey

When the flies are bad and the sun is relentless, a standard rug just makes a horse hotter. This hooded mesh rug does the opposite: the breathable 200gsm mesh lets heat and sweat escape instead of trapping it, so your horse stays cooler through a summer day in the paddock.

The full hood is what sets this one apart from our standard and combo mesh rugs. It runs all the way over the head, ears and neck, so the parts flies bother most stay covered. Generous eye openings keep it clear of the eyes and comfortable to wear all day.

Choosing your size: the COB or Full note refers to the hood, not the rug. For example, 6'0" COB is a 6 foot rug with a COB-sized hood.

The open-weave mesh moves air across the coat so heat and sweat can escape, instead of trapping it the way a cotton or synthetic rug does. It works as a day rug right through the warmer months.

The attached hood covers the head, ears and neck along with the body, so the spots flies target most stay protected. Roomy eye openings keep it clear of the face.
