Ripstop Horse Rug - Teal & Grey

The Ripstop Standard Neck Horse Rug is the workhorse of our teal & grey ripstop line. At 250GSM it's light enough for warm days on its own, and doubles as an under layer beneath a winter rug or rain sheet when the temperature drops.

The fabric is a diamond-weave ripstop: a reinforced grid woven through the cloth so a stray snag on a fence or branch stops at the next thread instead of running into a tear. It's the most hard-wearing fabric in the range, and it machine washes for easy care.

This is the standard neck cut, the base model of the line. The rug finishes at the wither and closes at the chest, leaving the neck bare. If your horse doesn't need neck coverage it's the simplest to fit and the easiest to get on and off. (For mane protection or a fuller cover, see the combo and hooded versions in teal & grey.)

Finishes at the wither and buckles at the chest. No neck cover means it's the quickest of the line to fit and remove, ideal when full neck protection isn't needed.

Satin-lined shoulders and a fleece wither guard prevent rubbing, while shoulder gussets give freedom to move and a generous tail flap adds coverage at the rump.

Double buckle chest, cross-over surcingles and removable leg straps keep the rug in place. Quality metal fittings throughout, and it's machine washable.
