A neck strap is one of the most useful bits of kit a rider can own. It sits around your horse's neck and gives you a fixed point to hold, so you can steady yourself without taking a backward pull on the reins.

Beta BioThane® is a tough, PVC-coated webbing, and one of the best strapping materials around. It's stronger than nylon or leather and fully waterproof, so there's no oiling or conditioning to worry about. It stays soft and pliable but wipes clean in seconds.

Rinse it under warm water with a little mild soap and wipe it dry. There's no oiling or conditioning to do, and unlike leather it won't dry out or hold odours.
