Single Tone Breastplate

A stockman-style breastplate that does one job well: it keeps your saddle from sliding back. Through fast work, hill country or a long day in the paddock, the wither strap and centre dee hold everything where it should be, so the saddle stays put and you stay balanced.

We make each one by hand in heavy-duty BioThane, a PVC-coated webbing that's stronger than leather and completely waterproof. There's no oiling or conditioning to keep up with, it won't crack or hold odours, and a wipe under the tap has it clean again.

Because it's made to order, you build it the way you want it:

• Main colour in a single tone across the whole breastplate

• Keepers and stitching colour to match or contrast

• Fittings from a range of buckle styles, standard stainless steel square buckles unless you choose otherwise

You can also add a snap clip or two if you'd like, and leave a comment with anything specific. Have a look through the photos before you pick your buckle style so you get exactly the look you're after.

Beta BioThane® is a tough, PVC-coated webbing, and one of the best strapping materials around. It's stronger than nylon or leather and fully waterproof, so there's no oiling or conditioning to worry about. It stays soft and pliable but wipes clean in seconds.

Rinse it under warm water with a little mild soap and wipe it dry. There's no oiling or conditioning to do, and unlike leather it won't dry out or hold odours.
