Custom BioThane Butterfly Lead

The Butterfly Lead swaps the usual metal snap for a neat butterfly loop at the halter end. It threads onto your halter and adjusts with a buckle, so there's no clip to rust, jam or clank against your horse's jaw when you work close. Quieter to use and one less piece of hardware to wear out.

It's cut from super heavy BioThane, a PVC-coated webbing that looks and feels like soft, broken-in leather but won't crack, stretch or hold odours. The strap is stitched at the stress points for strength, and the lead coils down soft enough to loop over your shoulder.

Every lead is made to order by hand, so the one that turns up is built to your spec.

Beta BioThane® is a tough, PVC-coated webbing, and one of the best strapping materials around. It's stronger than nylon or leather and fully waterproof, so there's no oiling or conditioning to worry about. It stays soft and pliable but wipes clean in seconds.

Rinse it under warm water with a little mild soap and wipe it dry. There's no oiling or conditioning to do, and unlike leather it won't dry out or hold odours.
