Polyester Pony Club Reins

These reins pair a woven Australian polyester body with USA Beta BioThane® tabs and keepers, so you get real grip without the bulk or weight of a rubber rein. The braided webbing sits soft in the hand and gives small fingers something to hold onto, which is why they're such a popular choice for pony club days and younger riders.

Every part is yours to choose:

• Main colour — the woven polyester rein itself

• Secondary colour — the BioThane buckle tabs and keepers

• Stitching, keepers and buckles — finished to match or contrast however you like

Pick your length and how the reins attach to the bit, and add martingale ring stoppers if you ride in a running martingale (they stop the rings sliding down to the bit). The polyester and BioThane combination shrugs off mud, sweat and rain, wipes clean, and won't stretch or go stiff over time.

The woven polyester body gives a soft, secure hold that's easy on small hands, without the weight and stiffness of a full rubber rein.

Beta BioThane® is a tough, PVC-coated webbing, and one of the best strapping materials around. It's stronger than nylon or leather and fully waterproof, so there's no oiling or conditioning to worry about. It stays soft and pliable but wipes clean in seconds.

Rinse it under warm water with a little mild soap and wipe it dry. There's no oiling or conditioning to do, and unlike leather it won't dry out or hold odours.
